Back to the original topic, I'm certainly not advocating drunk driving, but it would be interesting to know the BAC. Was the accident caused by being truly drunk, or was it a case where he had just a few beers and was barely over the limit. He'll need the best attorney money can buy in any case.

Wow. I knew that was theoretically possible, but wow. Actually 23-24 would probably be the absolute limit on that...

Last year when my wife had our twins, the social worker came to see us since we were having multiples. I mentioned that I ran into a lady in the hall and congratulated her but she wasn't happy.

Social worker told us she was 42 and the great grandmother. Had a 26 year old daughter, 13 year old granddaughter and newborn great grandchild.

Ugh. Florida

I am also curious what the BAC is. A few years ago a squadron mate of mine was driving a rental car on a TDY. He saw someone push someone else into the street. He hit him with the side view mirror and he died. Police came and gave him the breathalizer. Luckily he hadn't been drinking. Even if he had one or two but was under the limit he probably would have been charged with homicide.

In stories like this one, I think that the media is too quick to point that the alleged whomever is "a pilot" more than any other occupation.

Watch, this guy had a PPL and was a ramper.
What does it matter if he would have been a Private pilot and a ramper vs a professional pilot?
