Default Lyon Airport (LYS) - help on my paper needed!

Hey there,

working on a university paper about the Lyon Airport (LYS/LFLL). Just to not get it totally wrong - is there any pilot or expert around who can tell me whether the airport is rather too big / too small / whatever when compared with other airports with approx. the same aircraft movements (like Marseille)?

I have all the charts in front of me, I just have no idea how to judge the size of it... Approx. 8 million PAX, 100 k aircraft movements per year.

Thanks and best regards!

I did an airport report or two in college. I contacted the airport managers directly and got huge amounts of information and data from them. Give that a try. Pilots just fly in and fly out.

The airport master plan (or whatever it is called in France) would probably have everything you need. Some airports even have their master plan available for complete download.

Thanks for your advice - but the paper really has to consist of about 2 or 3 pages, nothing big. The extensive reports are to follow AFTER the lectures about how to do them

I just need some basic things, like "are 100 gates too much for 8 million pax", etc.

So does anyone here know the airport?

Thanks!

The master plan document would still address issues like this.
