For those of us in the Navy on the west coast when that movie came out...
OMG.. the Officer's Club at Miramar was like shooting fish in a barrel.
Same with the MCRD O' Club in San Diego.
Target rich environments.
The movie was kinda lame, but Tom Cruise...... we owe you.

Here's a true story. In 1986 when the film came out I was 16. So one night I took this girl on a date to the movies and we saw... you guest it.
Here's the funny part. 25 years later, that girl is now my wife of 16 years. Two kids, and yes, I became a pilot and she's a flight attendant. But I swear, it wasn't because of that movie!!
