Is amazing the little nooks and crannys that water trickles in from in a hard rain. I remember flying a new 206 through some serious down pour, and it was coming up under the windshield from somewhere that Cessna couldn't figure out.

The rain acts like a super coolant for the engine. Avoid abrupt power changes and descend early and shallow as to not let portions of the engine get cold spots, as if you had a turbocharger. Maybe overkill, but never had to change jugs out early for cracks or compression. Even on the ones that have a tenancy to not make tbo like Barons and Bonanza.
