Default NOTAM Search

APC -

A co-worker of mine said that she ran across a website once which showed a map of the USA. You could then click on a particular state and the site would then list all the active NOTAMs from that state.

Think of it as an interactive, hyperlink based Part 1, Section 2, FDC Airports, Facilities, Procedural NOTAMs from the Notices to Airmen Book Domestic/International. The NOTAM site would be much like the interactive TFR searches I think from her description.

She said that it was a free site and found it while surfing on Google, but can't for the life of her remember where she found it. I did a pretty good search and every link seems to lead back to the standard notams.jcs.mil and FAA NOTAM sites; so I thought I would give the computer search pros at APC a shot.

This site is the closest thing I came across to what she is describing, but it is a pay site and UK based.

The closest I was able to come for Notams is this Notices to Airmen, Airports/Facilities/Procedural NOTAMS This link is somewhat along the lines you were looking for and has always been easy for me to use.

The TFR map that I check. It is an interactive USA map.
AOPA Online: TFR Map v 1.0

Here is another that does the same thing FAA Temporary Flight Restructions (TFR) Map for the Continental US at Aeroplanner.com

Thanks a bunch usmc-[s]sgt!
I'll send this first link to her.
This looks nearly exactly like what she was describing to me.

What key words were you using to search or did you already have this link available.
I mean it is an FAA site and it wasn't coming up on my searches even within the system

EDIT:
I found where I was lacking on the search.
I had found the ATO Publications site on my own here:
http://www.faa.gov/air_traffic/publications/notices/
but I was first clicking on the newest link (for the NOTAM Book to be published March 10), and then I was also overlooking the 'HTM' link on the current publication line.

Thanks again for the rudder steer!
