Let us not forget the downing street memo which basically kicked Tony Blair out of office in the UK and of course the lack of WMDs.
He posed a threat to more than oil supplies, remember the invasion of Kuwait? As far as the WMD's or lack thereof, lets not forget that EVERYONE believed they existed. Most US opponents after the fact back tracked, even though they had gone on record in prior years supporting his ousting. Saddam wanted everyone to believe he had the weapons, more so than anyone. It was a major source of his power within the country, and the major deterent to outside threats. For more than a decade prior the US and UN had played a chess game back and forth between sanctions and military force, and every time he called the bluff because he had no other alternative. It was a complete rouse to try and maintain power. Only the last time, he misjudged the ultimatum that was placed in front of him and thought that it would be another bluff. Just like the previous decade.

4500 fallen soldiers unfortunately, and over 10,000 innocent Iraqi casualties how sad. If Saddam was the only reason we went to Iraq I wouldn't have a problem, but the real issue is the oil below their land, but this is the world we live in today.

Iraqi oil was State run, it became privatized right after we went in and the money went to everyone but the Iraqi's.
So you think the Iraqi people would be happier and better off if Sadam was still in power? Do yourself a favor and read Bush's book and do some more research before making uneducated statements.

And what could possibly be more reliable than a survey from the most
venemous "Hate America First" French-Canadian leftist proxy.

If we wanted to make them happy, we would have bought them each a Cadillac and a condo in America, and it would have been cheaper.

Not even that would make them happy.

Research? The same intelligence agencys that couldn't get 911 are the same ones that said Saddam had WMDs. Remember? Nobody associated with 911 was fired or even demoted. Nobody. If we are in Iraq because of Saddam then you better prepare for a liberating army to march into North Korea, Iran, Yemen, Syria and others. If we were there to "just" kick Saddams a** THEN why are we still in Iraq? Last I heard, we drug him out of his hole a few years ago. Over 200 bases throughout the world and nobody has a clue as to what is going on? Continued, unconstitutional actions by Congress and the President and nobody can figure it out? WTC 7 and everyone just rolls their eyes? Can it get any worse?

Tin Foil Hat Master Warning Light and Level 3 Alert message. ^

This bad old conspiracy has been going on for an awfully long time and seems to gain power through all parties, since they all support these actions.

Since those "responsible" for WTC 7 and the long list of crimes against humanity you seem to believe exists and nobody has been brought to justice, the only possible logical conclusion is that the current regime is continuing the conspiracy. Neat.

HAHA uneducated answer, education and BUSH don't mesh well together. Go read the downing street memo and see some key notes on the agenda, it's scary. It's funny how Blair was head of the Labor party in the UK too. Although Sadam had to be ousted, thinking that we went into Iraq to remove Sadam and that's it is very ignorant, sad we actually put that moron into power. The US foreign policy was out of control during the 8 years of Bush, hopefully things will change.

Almost nothing changed pre or post Bush with regard to foreign policy, we continue on a course much like your Greece, spending ourselves into oblivion.

Please note that our Presidents cannot declare or continue war without the majority of our politicos supporting it. You would have to conclude they are all morons and you would be correct, you can't just blame half of them.
