Could the Pilots pay for CrewPass?

As long as it's tax deductable and around 50 bucks or so... whatever.
I can't help but picture it turning out like this when offering to pay for something the overblown TSA should have in their masses:

The passengers and old ladies working at TSA are the worst. I had some guy chew me out for cutting at 5 in the morning a few weeks ago. I asked him where he was going and I said "Hey what a coincidence. Me too, maybe I should go get a coffee and get back in line and delay the flight." He backpedaled and I told him I was kidding and wasn't his pilot. I then asked him if he has to show up early at his job just to stand in line while not being paid. He just stared at the floor.

It might start at 50 bucks, but it'll go up from there. Just like CASS. Speaking of which, the CASS database is already there. It would be less of a burden on TSA to punch a couple buttons, then to have hundreds of crew members clogging up the security lines. Put me down as a "no thanks".

What is there, maybe 75,000 unionized pilots? I don't know, but even at that number assuming all bought in, that would be just $3.8 million.... The feds spend that much annually just studying parking lot design. If it were that cheap, it would be done already, if not by industry, then just by TSA to take employees out of the system.

If I thought that ALPA was on top of this, or if I thought that the 10 years of testing was gonna pay off in the next month or so, then maybe I wouldn't push the issue. I truly believe that this will get hung up in the gov't closet!! I would gladly pay to not have to get dressed twice before 6am. Or just let ALPA pay for it!! They just got a nice chunk o' change from the Delta Pilots!!
Should ALPA also pay for the flight attendants and non or other airline unions?

No friggin way!
I already pay for parking, dry cleaning, crashpads, union dues and FAA medicals.
This is the most expensive job have ever had and am not feeling the need to increase my expenses.
I do not cut in line beyond the ID checker either. If the company and the federal govenment cannot figure a way to get me to work on time that is their problem.
Perhaps you guys would like to pay for your simulator training and your hotel rooms too!

Whatever happened to the airline that hung rubber chickens off the simulators?
