I don't think that we are their target audience. Of course it's going to be somewhat of a let down for us. I'm sure people outside of aviation and Alaska think it's a lot cooler than we do. Kinda like Top Gun for military pilots!

I love it for the planes....I want that 180!

I did not like Alaska Wing Men. Some of the "situations" were obviously trumped up to convey life or death, when it was not the case. i.e. flying into clouds will kill you.

Flying Alaska was better, but as another poster pointed out, it was bouncing around and lots of recapping between commercial breaks. The daughter did bring a special quality to the show such that I'll tune in again

I did get the proxy thing working to watch episode 8 but the rest I now remember downloading and watching. Only problem is that I'm looking but can't find the forum that had a listing of each episode to be downloaded. It was one of those things where you have to wait 45 seconds to be able to download or become a "premium" member. I waited LOL.

Have to run out but will look some more when I get back

They really need some help on their editing too. Otters turn into Beavers and turbine Otters with recip sound tracks, etc.
That was driving me crazy too!

Overall it held my attention. I expected it to be a little over dramatic and make it out to be more than it was which helped going in.

At the end of the show though I realized.."One hour and all I really saw was a guy fly a 180 to an off site landing, a kid fly a 206 to a remote field and back and a guy fly an ANC round trip". Wasnt a whole lot going on aviation wise.

Thought the daughter ramper wasnt too bad looking either. Interesting web fact in her bio is that she has ran EVERY day since 2002.

She's stupid. Maybe a future flight attendant.

Very well put. I never did see the Cessna (I think) doing the "Sabre Dance" that they showed during promos. As far as the daughters level of mental acuity, that may be a plus

I thought it was quite an operation, running 70-odd aircraft the old fashioned way. It looks as though the piston aircraft were VFR, since the kid in the Stationair was told by the Deadhorse controller to maintain special vfr. What did raise some eyebrows was the fact that he was punching in and out of the cloud bases. The daughter was cute, once she learns left from right, and upwind and downwind she may be trainable.
