Default Amtrak stuck for 10 hours

Passengers stuck on a rail from Baltimore to Philadelphia for ten hours with no food, no lights and no heat. If this was a major air carrier Ray LaHood would be holding press conferences and talking the fines the DOT would impose, but, since this is our Administration's preferred mode of transportation ... nothing ....

No "Passenger Bill of Rights" for the gummit subsidised Amtrak? Imagine that...

The Stephen guy 'tweeting' comes off as quite a drama queen.

Kinda close 2 crying.

According to the timestamps on his tweeting thing it was only a 6 or 7 hour ordeal.

I'm sure it wasn't fun but wow, really not that bad.

I agree with the LaHood thing -- if this had happened on an airplane for even 3-4 hours it would be on the news and the DOT would be so proud to announce what the fine would be for the airline.

You mean the F40 in the news story or the F9 from the O Jays video? Sort of like when the news is about aviation and they put on file video of a 727.

The F40 , I kind of liked that big beefy design on a train
I guess news agencies must have a thing for the ole three holers .

Amtrak still uses F40's for engine-less cabs...I've seen them at Chicago Union Station in the north concourse on the Hiawatha line to Milwaukee.

They ditched the F40C's with engines after a few high-speed derailments.
