Well that sounds more like it that they just turned the machines off. Hopefully those things are turned off for good in short order and the molestation pat downs as well... The chart I posted earlier had two purposes to it:
1. What the real threat is to american lives.
2. The backscatter machines focus the radiation on your skin. It's not a huge dose of radiation for your whole body, but it IS an inordinate amount on your skin! Sounds remarkably similar to the touts of asbestos and such on how it's not harmful in any way years ago....

Utterly amazing. These million dollar plus machines, that are supposedly "necessary" for national security.....simply turned off. The people who are "leading" us in the country never cease to amaze me in their ability to raise the stupid quotent....Lord, help us.
