As one of the few females on the forums, I say give it another chance. What kind of funny sound did she make? I am sure even Boeing does not recommend ejection when you hear a little sound. If every airframe was ditched because of a funny sound, then we won't have many planes left.

No checklist on earth says eject without going through more evaluation and introspection.

So speaking as a lawyer, what evidence do you have that ejection is the right course to take at this time? Could it be pilot error instead?

Check your maintenance log. Perhaps the candy and flower tank has not been serviced lately, and should be topped off. Some aircraft don't have specific low-level warning indicators, just one big yellow light.

Even if you are able to make a last minute low altitude recovery the damage is already done and will you ever really be able to trust her in the future? You'll always have that little voice in the back of your head reminding you just how unreliable and dangerous this particular airframe can be.
An excellent question. The part of me that loves this aircraft hopes that it is possible... But there will always be doubt.

There is still some altitude between me and terra firma, so I will continue to troubleshoot until one of two things happens: The aircraft recovers or I find it's an unrecoverable situation.

I have plenty of evidence. More than enough to justify a departure from the aircraft.

No.

Trust me, those tanks have been serviced on a regular basis since the inception of this aircraft.

The ground is coming up and the aircraft is not responding in a positive way...
