Pilot Watch
I'm thinking of getting my pilot boyfriend a pilot watch for his birthday. Have found this one:
Seiko Flight Chronograph Watches
(the one at the top) but the only problem is that I don't know anything about this.. So is this watch OK? Or could I get one that is better with more features that he will need?
Hope to hear from you guys!

That looks like a nice choice. Personally, I like the lack of digital on the watch.
there is a thread going about this already with a good deal of info:

I actually prefer to have digital and analog together on a watch. To each their own. I have a Seiko that looks pretty similar what you posted, but it has a window for digital time and date as well. My Seiko has been great. I've had it for years and it still works perfectly. That's a great choice, although brands like Citizen have similar pilot watches as well that have a good reputation if you're looking for more options.
As for features, pilot watches tend to be more about the style than useful features. They are too small to be practical flight planning tools for the most part. Although I'm sure someone will say that they use theirs to flight plan, I have never found my watch practical for that.
Bottom line, I'd recommend choosing a watch based primarily on a style that he would like along with basic, practical features (like easily changing time zones...a must if he flies all over the country) versus trying to find a watch that will be a total solution to flight planning. The watches you picked looked great, in my opinion. If you think he would prefer an analog/digital combination, then there are seveal watches that meet that bill with similar styles to what you showed.
Good luck. Great gift idea.

My girlfriend got me this: CITIZENWATCH.com | Welcome to Citizen Watches Online about a year ago and I love it. Most jewelry stores have them in stock as well if you want to see one in person.

ohh there is too many alternatives!!!
what about this one?
Amazon.com: Seiko Men's SNA411 Flight Alarm Chronograph Watch: Seiko: Watches
is it better than the SNAD05? I'm having really difficulties understanding this... Does SNAD05 to the time zone thing?
I am sooooo glad for you guys helping me out! Now I'm gonna check out all the citizen watches...

The "time zone thing" really is only a factor if there is a digital part of the watch, since it's a bit more of a pain to change times. For purely analog watches (i.e. just with traditional hands, not digital numbers) then all you have to do is pull out the knob and twist it to change time. So I wouldn't worry about that if you're going with pure analog. Sorry if I confused you.

In terms of which watch is "better" from the one's you've chosen, I think they're all about the same. The biggest main differences in pilot watches are 1) analog vs digital vs both 2) style/looks 3) material for the band (metal, leather, plastic...I greatly prefer metal).
Pick the best looking watch, within your budget, and you'll be fine. And I'm sure he'll dig it.
