I'm asking this on behalf of my girlfriend so don't unload on me... but does anyone know if this clown is still actually flying with ASA or whatever airline he claims to fly for? I heard he was trying to get on with SWA. Good luck pal. It seems he has his own agenda of doing reality TV instead of flying planes (what he was hired to do). Did his airline give him an LOA to do all of this nonsense, (Bachelor, Dancing with the Stars, etc...), or did he leave the company in hopes of finding greener pastures elsewhere? Just asking

According to my GF who follows this type of junk extensively, JP quit his airline in hopes of breaking into the celeb lifestyle. Hope it works out for him... I don't mind him quitting... Its opens up a slot for someone that really wants to be there.

Don't be so hard on ol' JP mate If he flew airplanes well when he was on the job, that's what counts. I dream of being a surf bum with long hair, or flying a Beaver whilst wearing flannel and eating fish and chips 3 meals a day, so if my dreams are different than yours, does that make me a bad pilot? Sue the guy for having aspirations outside of ASA....er...um... I mean "Atlantic Southeast"

From what I have seen, there are any number of AH's and management sycophants that have moved from the regionals to the greener pastures of WN, CO, UA, etc.
No, it really doesn't matter how big of a d!@k you are, or how may careers you have ruined, there will always be an airline waiting to hire you.
I know we would all like to think that the ethically challenged pilots in positions of authority will get his or her's when the time comes to jump to the next level, but the reality is karma often takes a holiday when an airline is trying to fill pilot seats.
I didn't watch The Bachelor, and I don't know anything about Jake, but I have a feeling I would rather fly with him than any of the flatworms from my previous carrier. (I'm not painting with a broad brush. I reserve that sentiment for a very select few.)
