What happens when the pornsite main/home page is at http://airplane-porn.xxx but the actual content is referred to numeric IP addresses (a la http://127.0.0.1/plane-pix.jpg)?
Or for maximum clarity the law could require that advertising refer to text URL.

I currently work as an information systems administrator.
In short, we rolled our eyes at this (we continue to roll our eyes at this idea, in fact) and went back to work...because although it is a well-intentioned "good" idea, it will never technically work for reasons already enumerated herein. Short of making a country's routers refuse to route packets to hosts whose IP addresses reverse DNS to .xxx, you can't enforce this ban, and if you do that (technical nightmare!) you've just broken the Internet's redundancy. We thank you from the bottom of our "Destination Host Unreachable" ICMP packets.
With countries unable to reach a common standard on "what is pron" (reference Australia's recent dallying in trying to keep pictures of breasts off of the Aussie segments of the tubes—FOR TEH CHILDREN!), .xxx is just another TLD. A rather pointless one created to placate the populace.
