I know it's "only 1%" but if it's a req. Then why any at all? What sets these men apart? High time? Good interview skills? Stupid degree req.

What usually sets them apart is very good family connections...if you don't have that, better start looking at colleges.

You pretty much summed it up. Flight time, connections, interview and luck. Don't count on that working these days though..

acl65pilot holds the current record with 10,522 (as of "just now") followed by Rick. The next is ToiletDuck with 5,863.

What I want to know is how they find the time...

Reroute back to thread topic: Luck will do it but don't count on it long term as Slice said. Family connections are worth their weight in gold if you have them.
