Falcon hunting is big $$$ business...Just read Pakistan: The World's Most Dangerous Country. Loaded title , but it was still a good read...

Anyway, entire chapter devoted to the annual falcon hunt in and around Quetta / Balouchistan province.

Don't think its stupidity on Iran's part to provide him with a safe haven.

It's real-politik. We can't invade and occupy a country that large, we don't have the stomach or the resources for it.

Using air-strikes will only accelerate the Iranians drive for a nuclear weapon and delivery mechanism.

Iran, post Shah's fall, has been a very mis-managed / ignored problem. Much like Al Queda was pre 9/11. I can still remember the 1st World Trade Center trial and the testimony of Al Fadl and his disclosure of an organization known as Al Queda and their inner workings, plans, etc...Its excellent reading and should be published as a addition to the 9/11 report. I was able to get the testimony on FAS's web-site and Cryptome many many years ago...

Happy Fathers Day to all...

Another interesting figure in the early Al Queda / pre-9.11 murky world of terrorism is Al Mohammed - a former Egyptian Special Forces Major that moved to the USA and joined the US Army as a SGT working around SF community in Ft Bragg.

Triple Cross (can't remember the author) was a excellent book with lots of information on pre-9.11 Al Queda and Terrorism.
