I don't think that it's time to worry about unmanned flight until the airspace system gets revamped to better accomodate it. We're still flying around using VOR's and NDB's and "NextGen ATC" is still a buzzword, not a practical strategy. The FAA won't even act on some tweaks to crew rest rules, so I doubt they'd quickly want to remove the crew.
