ASA Lightning Strike. For real?
Everything below was sent in a FWD'd email. Hey ASA pilots, is this real or photoshop...
<<THIS WOULD GET YOUR ATTENTION
<<That is the biggest lightning caused hole in an aircraft that I have ever seen. The pilot must have gotten religion immediately after he wet his <<pants. I'll bet his ears rang for quite a while afterwards.
<<
<<OK. So. You're the pilot of a plane. It's on auto-pilot and you're catching up on People magazine and having a cup of coffee. Suddenly the loudest sound you will ever hear goes off just behind your left ear. You're blinded <<by the flash and can't hear.
<<
<<You immediately consider retirement!!
<<A pilot friend sent these photos this morning of an Atlantic Southeast Airlines/Delta Connection aircraft, after it suffered a lightning strike.

Your pictures don't work when you click them. But, I bet they are the CRJ that had a fire. If it looks like a small hole by the captain's window, and burned-charred marks around the window, it was a fire- not a lightning strike.
