I worked at a major for a while and anybody with access to the company intranet can pull the bids up. There is nothing personally identifiable on them as it's just a list of fights for pilots to consider for their bids. Cool it Mr. company man.
Good luck getting the info with that kind of attitude. All the guy was saying is that the info you seek is company property and no one is going to give it up unless they know you.

There really is no way to pass the "sniff" test when a new member comes on and asks for something right off, and then gets defensive. The possibilities of motive are endless, and the next attack on our air transportation system could start with something like this.

I don't have an attitude and I apologize that you felt that way. Maybe it's the way he rubbed off on me. Either way doubt I'm going to get it here so I suppose it's a non-issue now. Thanks to all for trying to help. I do appreciate it.

Come on man we're talking about a bid package. An example of what is contained in a bid package:

Code:
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
EFF 04/01/08 THRU 04/26/08 ID 0004 EUR
67Z 922 IAD LHR 0929 2155 34.00 D B 7.26 7.26 9.26 E .00
XXXXXXXX HOTEL XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX (Mod edit)
67Z 923 LHR IAD 0755 1114 L Bc 8.19 8.19 10.19 E .00
T/D- 3 BID-15.45* FTM-15.45* TMA- 51.45 INT- 15.45 NTE- .00 M$-113.85 T/C- .00 4.99*
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Hardly a national security risk when it's a list of hours, flight times ect., but oh well. Thanks anyway guys again I appreciate the help.

Bid packets are proprietary primarily because they have flying that is planned on them. I don't work at the airlines anymore but I couldn't see the harm in several months old bid packets. Does SWA do line bidding anyway or PBS?

Although, everyone is right. Good luck with that attitude.

My issue is with the hotel and transportation information. If someone wants to post what a trip looks like and redact the hotel and transportation info, I'd be fine with it.

Ah, yes. I can see how you wouldn't want someone to know where you slept or how you got to where you slept.

What kind of self respecting pilot would ever fly that id?

When you fly internationally, you pay a little more attention to OpSec while in a foreign country.

I'm sure the terrorists that attacked the hotels in Mumbai were very interested in where the foreigners were staying. Plus, I can't think of any regional crew that gets escorted to/from their hotel by an armed convoy of security guards like DAL crews get in Lagos.
