Pilots fail to engage jet engines

Not right now - I'm in San Diego If you don't like the way I type, you can choose any other saying to your liking if it makes you feel better.
And this is all I was pointing out. You did not communicate what you were trying to get across TO ME. I asked you to clarify, and you copped an internet attitude
Nope- no issue here unless you see it as one. If asking you to clarify your point in a post is taking issue with something then you need to grow a thicker skin. Your original post made it sound like you were going to give an example about not starting an engine and then running off the runway. I opened your link because I thought it would be interesting. Instead I start reading about a gear-up landing. Nothing to do with not starting up an engine and running off the runway. The point that you were trying to convey to this reader was lost. I asked for something more and you got offended. A simple - [I was trying to convey how in another circumstance a lack of vigilance contributed to a mishap] would have sufficed.
That is correct. I will not be learning anything from you because of this HUGE chip on your shoulder. I have focused on the larger issue. I focus on it all the time. But people with attitudes like you have a tough time relaying information to others - so I doubt that you do have much to show me. I didn't even say that that I wasn't learning from this lesson on vigilance - I said that I didn't need to take your word on it (your statement was just a common saying akin to sticking your tongue out at somebody )
I'd rather get my information from others who are interested in teaching and sharing.

I've tried to make a point using examples I thought the audience could relate to, but I failed.

You have taken issue with the fact that I referenced a landing accident to show how a potential accident on takeoff could happen...
...instead of focusing on the lesson to be learned about remaining vigilant. But, hey, you've been around long enough that I have nothing to show you.
I'd rather get my information from others who are interested in teaching and sharing.

Ummm, here is a thought....
Rather than trying to build an aircraft that can anticipate every conceivable, and inconceivable, failure/mistake we poor stupid human pilots can make; why not try to improve the pilots. No, I don't mean an additional day in the sim attempting single engine take offs. But we could reduce the number of silly mistakes by having well rested, well fed, less disgruntled crews.
Maybe we could also push for a more intelligent system that would prevent taxi times that are long enough to justify a single engine taxi.

And that's precisely what I was trying to do (and who I am). From your initial responses to me I took it that you were being obtuse. You're right that I'm not communicating well; I had a simple point to make and didn't understand why you couldn't get it. That fault is mine.
