Default Ashley Madison Ad

Hey APC Owners,

I don't need any help ruining my marriage. Get rid of the Ashley Madison mandatory ad that opens when I access this page. Don't know how much they're paying you guys, but you will start driving away a LOT of traffic if this crap continues. Love this site, but none of us can afford to have our spouses thinking that we're "searching" for affairs online.

Great site, clean up the ads though. In some cases, I am redirected there and cannot even get back to APC. Sidebar and header ads are fine, but I don't need to be redirected to a cheating site.

You all have managed to put together a reasonable civilized aviation forum (which is no small feat on the internet.) Don't let it be dragged down with this trash.

Rant over,

You should try Firefox and install AdBlock Plus. Works like a charm!

As a business move, it looks like they did their research very well, and found
a tremendous client base.

Its your computer. Not APC. Most likely some type of malware/spyware. Run a scan.

Thanks guys. I'll try all of the above. I expect that crap if I'm surfing sites of "ill-repute" but not on APC.

Hopefully, they'll take note of this and realize they are jeopardizing the traffic at the expense of these ads. Hope Ashley Madison is writing a big check to APC.

Same problem on 3 different computers, one at an FBO with other people watching. Don't know what is causing it.

Lightbulb No problems here....

I've had no such problems on several different computers (home, work, laptop).

I believe if you are seeing pop-ups, it is because of some adware installed on your computer. Give it a good cleaning.

I contacted the IT dept at Internet Brands this morning asking them to verify that no such ad is in our inventory and to look for any type of malware on the server.

I suspect that this may be unrelated to APC since only a few users are seeing this behavior. As always, we recomend that any computer connected to the inter webs run an up to date version both a anti virus, and a malware detection/prevention.
