Naming favorite movies is like looking at beautiful women.....beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Still, certain names begin to emerge with some regularity:
The original Airport (NONE of the sequals.)
Those Magnificent Men and Their Flying Machines
Battle of Brittain
Strategic Air Command (B-36 w Jimmy Stewart)
Dr. Stangelove or How I Learned to Love the Bomb
The Blue Max
12 O'Clock High
Fate is the Hunter
Wish I had them all on DVD....

I noticed no one has mentioned "Midway". GREAT battle scenes.
"The Final Countdown" something cool about seeing an F-14 splash zeros.
"Memphis Belle"
"SAC"
"Spirit of St Louis"
"The high and the Mighty"
Lastly...
#1 "Mercy Mission: The Rescue of Flight 771" Commercial airline pilot finds plane and pilot during a storm and leads him safely to Auckland. The Airline Pilot is on his last flight due to mandatory retirement age and takes place Christmas eve. Based on true story. The lost pilot now flies for American Airlines.

As far as TV shows, I didn't see Call to Glory mentioned yet.
Watched Von Richtofen and Brown the other day - BAD acting, but some pretty good flying in some rare birds.

It's nothing like the book, they just used the title on a totally different story. The book - Gann's life flying from the 30s through the 50s. The movie - Don't set your coffee cup on the center console. Now, if you could find a Three, a Four and a box of strike anywhere matches and make the book into a movie...
