Default If you Fly Only VFR

If you fly only VFR, why would you ever consider replacing the dry vacuum pump with an expensive wet pump system?

Personally, I like to keep my regional jet IFR capable.

We have dry pumps on GA aircraft because they are cheaper for the manufacturer. They just aren't as reliable as a wet pump. The wet pump on my bonanza went 7700 hours before I overhauled it. How many dry pumps would one need to =7700 hours?
