batman utility belt guys?

Was kind of wondering about the whole phone in a leather case strapped to your belts?, Also the more advanced crime fighters might throw on some type of pda too. Now is this just so you can answer calls from crew support at lightning speeds or more for effect during the airport fashion walks?

not hating, just looking for clarification..

I keep my iPhone in the pocket, but a pilot I flew with has a belt clip. I don't care about the belt clip, but I did like the fact it came with a battery boost built in for more iPhone usage. I'd get it for that.
