Its only been a few years but not once have I had anyone I know on my flights. My friends travel a bit and they always ask me if I am flying their flight but it is either not my airline or I am not working that day or I am simply not working that flight.

The odds are more in favor of seeing them though since I almost always bid to overnight at airports near my home (3).

I can't believe my odds, but...

I have flown two high school classmates on two different occasions on two different airplanes on 135 trips. They worked for different companies in different industries.

I ran into an old student of mine while walking through the airport.
I heard an old CFI friend on frequency going to the same airport as me (PIT).
I had my in-laws on a flight. They missed thier earlier flight and ended up on mine.
I take my family to work sometimes. Took the wife and kids to: Bristol, London, Amsterdam, Paris, Cancun, Aruba, Vegas, & San Antonio.

I was at JFK getting on the Airtrain going to my crashpad when I saw a girl I went to high school with also on the train. (We went to high school in Houston) Funny thing is we randomly ran into each other in Houston about a year earlier. And now she lives about twenty minutes from me in the DFW area. Its funny because we never talked in high school but now we get together on occasion.

I've taken family on quite a few occasions. On one, I flew 4 siblings/relative to SLC on buddy passes, then I flew the leg from SLC to visit our parents at the destination.

I have relatives go with me on a trip with passes to other places, too. It's a great excuse to rent a car and see the sites. Chicago, San Francisco, Portland, Cincinnati, among others.
