This just goes to show you that pilots who still enjoy their jobs never grow up!

I have a serious question... What do you guys do while in cruise? Are you allowed to have those headphones that play MP3s? Do you take turns spotting traffic while the other reads? Just curious. Thanks.

Get bored.
I never listen to music while flying..... however, you may find me monitoring the ADF tuned to various AM stations to maintain situational awareness.

I will never complain about a boring flight.... exciting flights are way too much work.

Most companies do not allow MP3s, although a few folks do it anyway. In cruise flight above 18,000 nobody really looks for traffic...ATC is about 99.99999% reliable at traffic separation, plus we all have TCAS.

The only recent midair I can think of involving an airline was a result of an ATC screwup, followed by pilots not complying with TCAS...always do what TCAS tells you to.

Reading or talking is what usually goes on. Also updating Jepps and manuals.

I wanted to be a truck driver, But I found out that not everyone gets to drive a cool looking Kenworth, Save beautifull girls and have a monkey as a sidekick.
