Another Conspiracy Theory: DEN Conspiracy!
I did a brief search of the forums to see if this was posted already and came up with nothing...but the chemtrails conspiracy thread reminded me of this....
The Denver International Airport Conspiracy.....just watch the following video, it is simply maddening the things that people will believe and say: YouTube - Denver Airport Conspiracy
Also, a Denver area news article about the theory: Denver News - DIA Conspiracies Take Off -
It's one thing to believe in a conspiracy theory that has hard credible evidence to support it, but this theory reaches a whole new level of stupidity.

YGBSM.
Guess they don't want to see NAS Meridian, either...it kind of looks like a Swastika with one leg missing.
Nice production values, you know...filmed with a cell-phone.
And that must be one helluva tunnel...since they showed a shot of either Tonopah Test or Groom Lake (Area 51) in Nevada!
I don't know where those murals are...but I've never seen them.
I thought this thread would be about the rumor I have heard:
Of all the sites surveyed for the new airport (which was really a means of moving the airport for real estate developers), the site selected was the worst for wind and wind shear, rolling terrain, and vermiculite--if I'm spelling it right. Colorado has "expansive clay," which expands when wet. It is powerful enough to crack a concrete house foundation, and is a major issue in the Denver area. Supposedly, the site for DIA had the worst levels of said clay.
So why did they choose it?
As I heard it, Pena and Webb (the two mayors) held significant portions of the land (or their family/friends did)...and made a lot of money from it.
Since they mostly moved the airport for expansion and to stop noise complaints, I found it odd they started building houses right next to it, I believe even before it opened. Who would approve such a thing?
Oh, that's right....politicians.

Wow....$600k...whew!
It is too bad that a symbol with such an ancient history comes to be associated with only one thing.
So.....back to the original thread subject matter.....murals huh? At Denver?
