Default Flying Shades of Choice

I have a few different pairs of sunglasses, a couple pairs of Oakley Straight Jackets and a pair of Mirrored Ray-Bans. Today I came into a pair of Oakley Gascans from a secret Santa exchange. I wore them on the drive home and (at the risk of looking like a cast member of Jersey Shores minus the hair gel) I am thinking of making them my primary flying sunglasses.

I've always had problems with my straight jackets and ray-bans letting sun in either the sides or the bottoms (especially on top of an overcast layer) but these Gascans really do a good job of sealing off my eyes from stray light. It just got me wondering what everyone else around here uses.

I've always made sure to purchase non-polarized lenses because I'd heard polarization can cause problems viewing cockpit glass and looking through windscreens. Is this true?

Yes it is. Do not purchase polarized glasses for flying. Great for being out on the water...not so much for being up in the airplane.
