Thanksgiving 2009

Thanksgiving 2009
This is my annual Thanksgiving greeting to my APC family. It's been a rough year in the airlines and aviation world, but as a glass-half-full person, I believe things are right in the world and I have much for which to be thankful.
My coffee shop is finally opened. My dog got sick, but we did the proper thing with euthanasia and he's in a dog heaven now. I'd like to visit my young nephews in Germany this December and the flights still look pretty good. My sister said that her 3 year old learned to pee while standing up. This reminded me of the long ago thread in Military on "canting." The kid learned this, however, because his 6 year old brother said that he wouldn't have to wash his hands if he peed while standing up!
I hope your schedules allow you to spend Thanksgiving at home with your family and loved ones.

It's been a long and busy year: finishing college, surgery, student government, work, and every once in a while slipping the surly bonds of Earth. I don't aim to fly airline anymore (I think)...but I want to stay involved with aviation, maybe on the *gasp* regulatory side . I have a hard time staying away from airplanes.
My family might actually be around for Thanksgiving...due to the sorry financial condition of the California State University we also have that entire week off, which will also make the November paycheck (they are also my current employer) lighter than normal. I think I may volunteer at a food bank...I feel compelled to do something.
I hope your schedules allow you to spend Thanksgiving at home with your family and loved ones.

Well, it cannot be said that I didn't learn anything in law school because I was able to say something intelligent. The woman thought about it for a bit and said "I'll take the non-fat milk."

Sorry about your dog. I am sure that was a difficult thing, but I am glad you chose to euthanize rather than drag it out. Maybe the next one can be a rescue dog when the time is right. Oh, and Happy Thanksgiving. We need to get that thread about food going again.
