R/C pilots?

R/C pilots?
I am curious who is into R/C airplanes on the board.
I've decided to get back into it after nearly 4 years off. Only flown 11 flights and I technically soloed one time, but the buddy box was still hooked up - just didn't help me with the flight.
I've got a Sig LT-40 I built from a kit back in 2004, a Cub .25 ARF that I need to finish, a GWS slow stick, a Sig EP-42 that needs to be recovered, and a Carl Goldberg Chipmunk kit that needs to be built.

Never flown RC although I had the opportunity to demo the Realflight G4.5 trainer which is a USB connected RC computer trainer. I was amazed at the fidelity of the simulation and thought it would be a inexpensive way to get the kids into RC flying.
Yes, that's it, it's for the children (such the humanitarian)

I started out as an RC Pilot, but got tired of looking up all the time so I went for an SPL licence instead. Now I look down on my RC airfield when I fly over it
Still do my RC flying tho, in a way it is the best from two worlds, RC and SPL. Both affordable for the average person, and you can own your own planes.
The major step is to get airborne, not really how. The most excellent plane is the one you are just flying you know!
Have a look at my homepage for RC planes and ideas: www.snobmog.com (in english)
Or pictures and video from our airport and airclub at Innherred Mikroflyklubb (sadly only in Norwegian, but vids and piccies are great)
Google Translate also make a decent job of translating from Norwegian to English for the ones interrested.

I have flown R/C airplannes for a long time. Its great if you have the big SUV to carry all the supplies to the airfield. Its an awesome way to get your kids into aviation. Helis are the most fun R/C because they are the most challenging.
