Default Meoteor Shower...

Early Tues morning. Should be interesting to see but unfortunately I will have to watch from the ground. Enjoy!

I was flying MEM-ALB. It was during the August Perseid meteors. There were huge thunderstorms south of our route putting on quite a show. To the north the aurora was casting curtains of shimmering green light. Through it all the Perseids were zipping by at a pretty good rate. I brought this amazing show to the attention of my F/O and S/O. They both sat up, looked around and went back to doing eyelid light leak checks. Shaking my head and smiling I reclined my seat and enjoyed my private box seat at one of the most amazing displays of aerial phenomena I have ever seen.

I'll definitely be looking out tonight!

I will get up around 0430 local tomorrow to check it out. Bad luck the past few years seeing meteor showers because of clouds, full moon, or little activity.
