Naw, Ariat Wellington Ropers. They last forever, metal free (when I go through security), and they are resoleable (spelling!). Also pretty sealed for your walks on the ramp through the blue juice and dingle berries. God my job sucks!

I'll second that. That being said, the only reason why I paid $135 for a pair of shoes is because we get uniform reimbursement, otherwise, I'd probably get Bostonians which run about $70-$80 also at Clarks.

Rockports from an outlet mall... have a few pair, none make the metal detectors go off and they are pretty comforatble. And since they are from an outlet mall, they are a bit less expensive than the "current" models.

What's wrong with appropriately colored Doc Martens? Dang near indistructable and no metal.

Nothing, they're better than the black tennis shoes with velcro closures seen on some of our more fashionable brethren.

Wicked sense of humor there! Real men don't ever really talk about shoes, but you know that. Run what you brung and hard soles are better in a fight.
