Default Crow intelligence!

"Here's a surprise: Wild crows can recognize individual people. They can pick a person out of a crowd, follow them, and remember them — apparently for years."
Sure makes you think differently about those that share the air with us!

Careful, that crow could be Randall Flagg.

Read a story this year when teaching seventh grade about a family that rescued a baby crow and raised it back to health.

The crow recognized all the family members. The crow would wait near the train station and when one of the family got off the train with the mobs of commuters, the crow would swoop down and join that family member for the drive home.

The crow also had other interesting traits. It would fly around the school yard where kids were eating lunch and steal change on the table. It then flew to the local bank and deposit the money in a pipe on top of the bank. The kids figured the crow was saving money for a sports car.

Here's another good vid talking about the same thing, other amazing things they do, and how we could leverage this intelligence. My favorite is how they crack nuts to eat...
