Here I go totally sexist and wrong I know. No appolgy just a warning about what i think.
No widebody FA's.
No FA's over 35 unless they qualify under the official Courger Clause.
The same person that hires NWA Asian FA's should be the FA czar for the entire US aviation industry, maybe they can bring sexy back.

Ahh I feel better just venting.

Well since we're not being "PC" allow me to let 'er rip..

In many parts of the world being a Flight Attendant is not considered a "career". FA's are hired under a contract and once your contract is up you have the option to apply for a job in the training department or get lost. Having an age cut off would go a long way to restore service on US carriers to what it used to be. Back in the old days of aviation the FA's all had one thing in common and it wasn't great pay and benefits it's that they were all YOUNG. The poor customer service today has nothing to do with pay and everything to do with age. Okay there might be some age discrimination lawsuits but if Hooters can fight off lawsuits and manage to stay in business I don't see why an airline can't. You don't see many 50 year old grandmothers waiting tables at Outback or working as a lifeguard on the beach.. these jobs demand youthful stamina and so does being a Flight Attendant. In the US it seems like we just don't have any common sense anymore.

The vision of a candy apple red Porsche station wagon comes to mind.

Er, I don't see how bad customer service has that much to do with age. Look around you at stores, fast food restaurants, etc. where young people make up the majority of the employees. Service sucks. To me the obvious answer is because they are minimum wage employees.
At my regional like most other regionals we have more young FAs than older FAs. In my 2+ years here I've seen crappy young FAs, crappy older FAs, great young FAs and great older FAs. In fact I personally think the young ones tend to be less professional and have a more carefree attitude about their job.
It's true that in some of the Asian countries the FAs are young and the service is awesome... but that has everything to do with the airlines over there. Their hiring process is very selective and even rigorous, and they can afford to be because FA still considered is a decent respectable job in some of those countries. More importantly, the company culture is all about customer service. It's a top-down thing... if the company doesnt emphasize customer service and the employees see that their managers don't give a crap, how do you expect the employees to bother?
I dont see how this dress thing is even an issue... I've seen chubby FAs but nowhere near size 28... I mean you would seriously have to be OBESE like 250-300 pounds to be size 28 and I've never seen an FA nearly that fat.

There should be an age cutoff for pilots too. How about 60 or maybe 55.
