Yes. It was a fun time. There was a bar down the road where they had some great soups and burgers. The challenge was walking 3-4 blocks in sub-zero wx.

I remember riding them out of CMI. My Dad left the car running with the trunk open in the dropoff area. We were halfway to Dayton when he remembered. Told the stewardess, who told the pilot. They got in touch with the station, and they went outside and parked it and kept the keys for our return. Sometimes its nice flying of the small places.
We tried to take care of the pax and do the little extras as routine. Also, there was a small coffee shop in the mall adjacent to the Lodge. They had these amazing walnut cinnamon croissants and some incredible coffee. Nice way to start the day.

There was a former Ozark pilot who observed my groundschool class in STL. He had some great stories about flying the DC-9 and F-27, and if I recall correctly, he was involved in a pretty bad accident on the F-27.
