Default pre-paid cell

Was wondering if anyone have suggestions for prepaid cell phones. Can't tolerate my phone plan now and need something till I get a new plan.

Boost Mobile...aka..Mini Sprint/Nextel. Coverage is okay, but you will save alot of money. $50 a month, unlimited walkie talkie, phone, web and text.

I'm satisfied with it.

I have and maintain one of those free Net 10 phones you get at Walmart where you only pay for the minutes. I recharge it when the minutes get low, 300 minutes for $30. It is the cheapest thing for me because I do not use it for business all that much, I dislike cellphones in general, and I have no interest in texting, taking pictures etc. I use it maybe 20 or 30 minutes a week. Buying recharges at a local store is the way to go if you only use a cellphone for very light use. They will port your number from another cellphone.

I agree with Cubdriver. Depending on how much you plan on using it, Net10 is probably the best deal out there because the phone is basically free. All you pay in the package is for the minutes. However, if you plan on using your phone more, you'll probably want to go with Boost or another unlimited per day plan. Just gotta make sure you read all the fine print. It seems that every company is a little different in what they charge extra for. You just have to match up your needs with what you're willing to not use as much (the expensive thing for that particular company).

Default Me Too

I use a T-Mobile pre-paid. Buy 1000 minutes for 100 bucks, so it is always 10 cents a minute, even for long distance. Coverage is pretty good in most areas. (Although I can't get a T-Mobile signal in Charleston, SC for some reason). It does go up to about 40 or 50 cents a minute if you are outside the network, though.

No frills, no pictures, no games, I hate texting. Total cost for me is about $150 a year.

Does anybody know of a pre-paid phone that will work in Europe?
