Default Whats that "saying"?

I have heard from a friend that has been in biz a long time say..

"Your not a true airline pilot until you have been furloughed 3 times"

It looks like I am going to be on #1....2 to go!

I was told by a Southwest Captain on a jumpseat ride home that I would not be a real airline pilot until I had walked a picket line, a strike line and an unemployment line. 2 out of 3 in my 2 years at TSA. Maybe I will get it all out of the way early on in my career.
