Default Story Of A Homeless Girl

Yes, yes, I know, not aviation related at all, but this is a story that could happen to any of us. In a blink of an eye. We can never be too sure of ourselves anymore. This recession has a horrific effect on innocent children and reasonable, empathetic people cannot and should not let this continue. My greatest fear is becoming immune to such stories since I see this all the time in my work.

Really sad times we live in. I don't mean to sound rude or anything but at least she has "somewhere" to go. Some children in Africa for example are forced to sleep in places where sleeping in the middle of the desert would be more sanitary.

Truly sad ... just proves how tough these times are right now. We may all complain and moan about our jobs and how thankless and tiresome they are, but at the end of the day, I'm just truly thankful to still be employed and getting a paycheck ... no matter how little it may be.

and to think of all the empty foreclosed homes that are out there not being used. It's a crazy system.

Or worse, the banks are simply tearing them down instead of trying to sell them...

What's sad is not the fact that this is happening in the third world, but it's happening right around the corner from us. What's even worse than that is that we have the highest percentage of homeless children of any developed nation.
