It's called lightning strikes!
NWS Weather Fatality, Injury and Damage Statistics
Beware your chances of getting struck dead are much greater than that of contracting (and dying from) swine flu as it stands now!

Come to think of it, I should probably consider never going swimming without a lifegaurd, driving to work, walking across a busy street, cleaning out the gutters, mowing the grass, eating at a Taco Bell, or anything else I could potentially die from.

What's the deal with continual crisis ? if it's not one thing it's another and I wish they would give it a rest already!
I beleive it's the equivalent of Chicken Little and I wonder what other's are doing behind our back's while we are concentrating on this .

Blame Ted Turner. Everything is now "Breaking News" even if it happened yesterday. Even your local stations, if there wasn't a disaster in town will link to their "sister" station somewhere else to run a story about 2 kids killed in a house fire. They can't just say "Nothing happened today, we're going straight to Kelly with the weather."
