Default Kill Bill

Kill Bill got the official boot. He said that he was writing a book. I wonder if it ever came out.

His main issue was that he is against "scabs" and "management". It has only been a few years but now it seems like a silly thing to be concerned about. Who cares about scabs when it is your own union that is agreeing to concessions. The threat today is from industry changes and not from non-union workers.

Good times!

I wonder whatever became of browntail and kill bill. I wonder if browntail really did work for UPS; boy did he get a lot attention while he was on here!

ch:

How true about Freight Dawg and others. I miss the comaraderie.

Yeah.....I wonder about Browntail also. Man he used to catch alot of flak.

This thread will self-destruct in 30 days.
1. To me, APC stands for airline pilot central.
2. too much, maybe I should pay attention to my girlfriend haha
3. I like reading hangar talk, thats the only forum I even check, it makes me laugh. The regional forums have become utterly filled with enormous exagerations, absurd rumors, and flame bait. All you have to say is 'mesa' or 'gojet' and everybody here lights up. Do you really care that much?
4. I use APC as a knowledge base to hear about how Republic airlines is going to purchase 747's, A-380's, and maybe even a space shuttle or two. I also heard they are buying Mesa, Compass, Southwest airlines, Frontier, JetBlue, Midwest, UPS, FedEx, ATP flight school, Target, Walmart, and Starbucks.
5. For god sakes, give FedEx pilots their own Forum. PLEASE. I like reading about air cargo, and unless you want to hear only about FedEx, the cargo forums are NOT helpful.
6. No concerns.
7. Too much typing, time to go to taco bell!

New to the forum. APC is my best route for staying up to date on the business I love. My Dad was with a major for 40yrs. If I had had any sense when I was young the skirts would have taken a back seat to the schooling. How I passed high school I'll never know. I love the business, am with a major now, and have been over 3 decades. As for the forum, it seems to be a needed outlet for discussion/venting. Honestly makes me wish I could get into Crew Management. Right is right, and wrong is wrong. Don't trash people, treat them right and they'll be there for you and each other. Period.
I really hope all the issues get resolved. Life is too short, as we found out Last March overseas.

1) I've enjoyed APC for a long before I actually signed-up as a member. Back then it was a tool to learn about the industry. I spent a lot of time using it to research flight schools, and later the regionals. Many thanks to all in this regard. After joining, I found I use it now more for staying on top of industry news, getting opinions, contributing, and finally sharing a laugh or two sometimes.

2) Most days.

3) Cruising the regional and hanger forums. I like many of the other categories (esp. the technical and pilot health sections) but find many of them lacking in newer threads so I don't visit them as often.

4) I log-on primarily as a knowledge source to get an answer for something I want to know about, and for learning about different aspects of aviation that I have no experince in. I don't use it at all as a way to stay in touch with anyone, but that's because I don't know anybody on here.

5) None really.

6) No real concerns.

7) I think APC already does enhance aviaton and the industry as a whole, no question. As far as how this will continue; APC will move in the direction its members and the aviation industry make it move. Tons of pilots on street= tons of bitterness and loathing of the industry, as can be seen in many of the posts seen on these pages now. A hypothetical boom in hiring would easily shift what we see on these pages to a more positive atmosphere in general (happened in the regionals section during the last hiring boom). I guess what I'm trying to say is that I feel APC keeps pace with the pulse of the industry very well, and that's a good thing. I think as long as you are relatively free to post and discuss your ideas/feelings/rants both good and bad, APC will be just what it needs to be.

Great topic.

1) What does APC mean to you (assuming it means anything at all)?
Place to share aviation(and other) experiences that I think others would enjoy. Also a good place to teach, debate, and sometimes just completely disagree with anothers opinion.

2) How often do you log on here?
M-F usually 2-3 times a day, weekends, maybe if I'm around a computer

3) What is your favorite activity while here?
Just seeing what's going on in GA/135/hanger talk/Pictures

4) Do you use APC primarily as a knowledge resource or more social, like keeping in touch or making new friendships?
Social and Knowledge, and to share my knowledge if asked

5) What other features would you like to see here?
It's pretty good the way it is! Maybe allow pic's to be posted instead of linked, but that's just a personal preference(and I understand the reasoning behind it

6) Do you have any concerns about the site?
No

7) Do you think APC is moving in a direction that enhances aviation and the airline industry? If not, how is it not?
I think it allows discussion, so yes. I don't follow the actual airline forums as that is not the part of aviation I dwell in.
