Where can I get a 747 schematic?
Anybody know where I can get a high-res 747 schematic? I found some in the Boeing 747 flight handbooks on the Boeing website, such as http://www.boeing.com/commercial/air...caps/747_4.pdf
But they're not very detailed. They just show a basic outline of the aircraft.
(It's for an art project I'm thinking about doing, if you're curious)
Another large jet (777, A380. etc.) would work too.

Think About It
Technical information in the wrong hands is useful for
t-e-r-r-o-r-i-s-t-s.
Hopefully, you're what you say you are...an artist. But who knows on a free blog?
Flight International does very cool cutaway drawings (if they're still in publication). That might be a place to start. If no longer being published, you might find some in a public library.
(And I don't think they are technically detailed enough to be useful to a terrorist).
Care to elaborate on your art project, and why a technical layout is required?

Thanks for your replies. To answer your questions:
1) It's for a poster I'm making for my wall. I recently found a place that has a REALLY large format poster printer (5 ft wide), and being a pilot and a bit of an artist I want to make an aviation related poster for my wall. Putting snippets of technical drawings (or cutaways, etc.) is part of my concept.
2) I don't really care which series 74. In fact, it doesn't even have to be a 74 at all... I just want stuff from the biggest, most impressive planes we have today... B747, A380, B777, C-5, An-224, even the spruce goose would be fine.
3) In case I didn't make this clear before, I'm am most definitely NOT a t-e-r-r-o-r-i-s-t, and I'm looking for information that is publicly available on the Internet, at a library, or via mail order. I am not asking for Boeing's chief test pilot to come on here, see this post, and say 'oh, let me go get you a bunch of confidential information out of our corporate network'
[ monologue on ] Perhaps I should have been more clear in my post last night, but it concerns me greatly that the default mentality for some is to assume everyone is a terrorist until proven otherwise. I could be wrong, but I bet al queda doesn't need our help to find publicly available information on large aircraft. [ / monologue off ]
UAL T38 Phlyer, I'll check out the Flight International stuff. Thanks. If anyone else has any ideas, I'd love to hear them.

Ounce of Prevention; Pound of Cure
dordal:
In this day and age, you have to assume the worst. It applied when I was a fighter pilot with two oft-quoted axioms:
1. Plan for the worst; hope for the best; take what you get.
2. Measure it with a micrometer, mark it with a grease-pencil, and cut it with an axe. (OK, this doesn't apply for this example, but was too funny to pass up).
Ref #1 really came into play after 9/11 in the airline business. So that's why guys are cautious here, per Eck4Life's worthwhile advice.
The link that hotshot posted is very similar to the quality of Flight International....might even be one.
Post your drawing in the Photo section when you're done.
