There are hundreds of crewmembers overnighting in Narita every night. That should be enough to explain it. Plus, there are fun places to visit, such as the Jet Lag Club.

Narita is a great overnight.

True enough, and we all proudly wear one of these shirts. In fact I have epaulets on mine.Wearing one of these shirts guarantees you a good seat at any of the fine restaurants in Narita. Don's Noodle shop, the Spiral Staircase, The Pink Telephone. The list goes on and on. Don't forget the Truck, used to be one of my favorites years ago. The Green beer is particularly good there.
Many a night I enjoyed the beautiful Illuminations of Narita Airport from the bar atop the swank Narita Nikko Hotel.

It's been about two years since I was in Narita. I heard the Truck got shut down. Can anybody verify that?

Speaking of the Truck. Am I the only one to ever get tossed out of that place? Probably not but there aren't many of us I'm sure.

Got back Yesterday and the truck was still closed.

I don't think it got shutdown as much as it fizzled out. Maybe something about a business plan that includes operating a 50 passenger bus to haul crews to a trailer that serves $10 beers.

The Jetlag Club is now the defacto watering hole/aviation museum. They got rid of the pool table and put in self-serve stripper pole.
