I COULDN'T CARE LESS (bourbon inspired)

That explanation still doesn't make sense. How can having a piece of cake and eating too mean having best of both worlds? That is the NORMAL thing to do. You don't get a piece of cake and toss it, and you can't eat cake that you don't have. Best of both worlds would be eating your cake and not gaining weight. It's still a stupid saying to me.

If that is a bourbon inspired quote, you obviously aren't drinking enough bourbon. I would like to see your tequila inspired quotes.
(And not to get technical, however, you actually can say "I could care less", it would just carry a different meaning. If somebody said "I could care less", that would mean that they actually could 'care less' , stressing that they do care, because they could put less care into the situation but choose not to because they care somewhat, hence the opportunity would be there if they chose to 'care less' than their current amount of care.)
