Default Compromise?

Woerth got axed because of too much political baggage. Besides, why would DOT/FAA want someone who led a union, then sold out it's members?

Is that the same Randy Babbitt that left ALPA and went to ECLAT Consulting? The same ECLAT Consulting that provided anti-labor consulting services to UPS management leading up to IPA's '98 labor contract (hey IPA wasn't ALPA so no conflict of interest...right?)

Eclat Consulting - Aviation, Airline, Airport Consulting

Close... Bob Miller hired him, and some of us IPAers were outraged at Eclat's pro-management surveys while being paid to advance our agenda.

Babbitt is a mamby pamby political animal that can't be trusted.

Does he pay his taxes? If not he will fit right in.

Was Babbit a Captain @ EAL or merely a humble raiser of the gear?

At one time, Randy Babbit was the Master Chairman at Eastern. I believe, but I'm not certain, that he was MC when Lorenzo bought the airline. I recall him as being a "junior" DC-9 Captain at the time, but alas, the cobwebs are thick.

I don't think that UPS ever hired him, it was us. We were thinking of using him as one of the "professional negotiators" that so many crave.

Jack Bavis was the MEC Chair of Eastern, at the time of the Lorenzo raping and 1989 strike.

Babbitt, became the ALPA National President in 1991, replacing Hank Duffy.
