But now that you mention it, personally, I did think that comment about the shark thing was gross! Did that really need to be mentioned here? I may not be a serious 'surfer', but does one guy surfer say that to another guy surfer??? I don't go around telling controllers to let me off ground-hold ahead of everyone else because I'm PMS-ing...if you're gonna play in a man's field, play it fairly, with class, and use your skill and ability to get the job done. Women don't earn respect from comments like that, they degrade themselves. IMHO, women play that old 'time of the month' mystery game with men very unfairly, those were games played in high school- like when you wanted to get out of class, telling the male teacher it was 'that time of month' so he'd be so embarrassed he wouldn't care if you left and ditched the whole classtime!

Oh, and if I prefer to say 'Ewwweeyy' instead of using profanity (yep, makes me a nerd, but I feel better ), then get off my back! Somehow, I've earned several college degrees by working my hiney (ooohhh, another one of those nerdy words ) off- all this with my current vocabulary- many professors may have chuckled and rolled their eyes at my choice of words- but never turned me over to Mr. Webster!

This used to be a fun place to come and make friends, but some people around here have lost their sense of fun and light-heartedness. I liked to come here and help friends smile and feel good...I love to learn more about the great people who are out there like me...they love airplanes and like to come here and goof around and be silly and corny when that is what their soul needs, and to be a supportive friend when they need it. I leave the 'serious' posting to the others on this board who post to those types of threads...remember the title of this thread?? Serious??? I don't think so.

This hardly seems like a rude post. I dont recall you acknowleding my good wishes,only making a snide remark about my sister.She makes that remark partly joking and partly to get rid of the bullies, Not to get out of normal situations like you are claiming.
First of all, its not a mans world, you only think it is. Is it better for her to say something clever than to get clobbered like you did. Not to mention the difference in expertise.

I should post about how when I had my knee surgery, the "hot" anesthesiologist checked "my oh so delicious fingers, for my vitals, (ya know blue fingers vs white) that I then proceeded to "lick"...oh my, guess what, that hot anesthesiologist called me at home too....cause that is in his job description (I was married to a doc for 20 years)...

I sure hated it when my "blonde California girl hair" was all flat after the surgery as well. So where were you surfing? I may not be a pilot but I'm a water baby, let's talk about your surfing accident.

Oh my...whew! I was not the only one having fun here, and seems to me that we were all having a great time before...just look at the number of posts on this thread! Again, the title of this was 'pilot pickup', not 'let's get technical'...it is my choice what thread I want to spend my spare time posting to, if I want to be in the more fun spot, which was here, then I participate in it appropriately, why would I talk about tech stuff here?? It's interesting that now that you perceive that I 'dissed' your sister, you now want to attack if I'm a pilot?? Oh geez! I don't even know your sister, all I said was that I thought something was gross...just the mere thought of a shark being attracted to...YUCK! AND, by the way, so did Slice...but funny how you aren't attacking him! If you want to talk about surfing and siblings, why don't you do it on another thread, but...oh yea, I don't think there is a 'technical' thread on AIRLINEPILOTCENTRAL on surfing. This is so ridiculous and out of hand!
Maybe the guys on this thread should take a vote...what do they come to this thread to partake in? The fun and flirtatious, or the crap that has brought this thread to a spiraling halt now?
