The owner of the Venetian put one of his Gulfstreams at my airport. What a beautiful airplane, I can only imagine what the hotel is like. Even better the FO was only 23, I would love a job flying for them. In total the value of their Gulfstreams and BBj's, etc value at over a billion dollars. Amazing.

The Venetian is a beautiful hotel. I recently stayed there. I also get freebies at The Wynn, another nice hotel. My fav though is the Venetian. So when are ya'all planning for this meeting of the dirty minds in Vegas? I'm at the Fairmont Olympic in Seattle 25Aug thru 27Aug, but I think I may be scheduled for Vegas the following weekend, I'll have to check.

With so many varied schedules and logistical issues how do we set the date and what do we want? Each responsible for renting own rooms? A large suite arrangement? A party room and a few others to pass out in or ??? I am a poor social planner but would like an invitation to the party. I think Vegas would be good and there are lots of flights in and out. End of July is out for me as well as third week of Sept. Where do we start? Ideas? We will need a social director responsible for arranging activities to break the ice and to have some "fun" activities arranged. We have talked all spring about this rendezvous. It's time to start talking details. By the way, anybody who is looking for a quiet and uneventful weekend need not attend. And, what goes on in Vegas, stays in Vegas! Volunteers? Ideas?

Calcapt - I agree - enough talking and time to start planning. If memory serves...isn't Skygirl a Travel agent? She would be the obvious choice. Personal preference is individual rooms. The Palms is supposed to be wild. There is a chance my firm will be doing work with Wynn...so I would prefer not to be too debauched there.

Anyone have ideas?

Yes Stinson, Skygirl now works in the travel industry, but she doesn't work for cheap... ...no, but seriously, I could put this thing together if people were serious about it, not sure if I have the time to attend though, but I could definitely put it together. I won't even look at it though, unless a firm date is decided. So that would be the first thing that all of you would have to decide on.

I can tell you that in Vegas, you must have a minimum block of 20 rooms in order to get a group rate. Somehow, I think we'd have a hard time blocking 20 rooms. The prices in Vegas go up rather sharply starting Labor Day weekend, so everyone would save money if it was before then. I've got several business trips coming up, as well as a well-needed spa weekend in the red rocks country of Utah that Skygirl is treating herself to. Like a pilot, this is my busiest time of year, and even Skygirl needs a good rest now and then.

Yes Stinson, the Palm is a hot property right now, the flavor of the month amongst celebs. I think that since it's already mid-July that an October gathering would be more sensible, because many people, like myself, have theirselves scheduled at least 2 months in advance. It's a bummer, but it's reality. I should have taken that hot client of mine's offer today to run off with him on his Mexico dive trip. No, he wasn't hitting on me - He wanted his own personal divemaster to help him with his underwater navigation skills...

I don't. But if you do, you've got my full attention, wild4. I'm 6'2". I've learned for most girls 4" heels puts the target right where it needs to be.
