Welcome Wild. The posse is like being in the 8th grade again, but more sophisticated and elegant. In other words, you will have a great time! And we are in good Hands. Very good Hands.
SkyGirl, your idea is the best! No uniform has lasted long with me around.

Sorry, but I don't remember 8th grade being this much fun! It just warms my heart (not to mention other body parts) to hear the girls of the posse are in Very Good Hands...Now about that get-together.....

Nope, haven't hooked up with FG, YET! I'm wooing her slowly. Still here in DC working. So "Wild 4", how wild are we talking here? I gots to know! To gain entrance into the posse we need photographic proof that you are a woman! No worries, all the others have anteed up the same and we do reciprocate....................with pics too.

When you roll the plane into a bank, you will feel slight G forces. IIRC, either a 45 or 60 degree angle of bank produces 2 G's, but I am sure the diagram in the book has not changed in 20 years, so you can look it up.
As far as spins go, you should at the very least have your IP demo one. I think they may have been eliminated from the syllabus, but they should be taught, IMHO. I taught them in the military, and believe that learning what causes a spin, and how to recover, are very important lessons. The best thing is to never get into one unless it is on purpose, and to be able to recognize the onset phase so you can recover before the incipient phase.
Some would argue that most people die in stall spin accidents in the pattern, with no chance of recovery, but if you recognize the sequence of events leading up to the departure from controlled flight, you can stop the loss of control before it happens.
Of course, if you want to "take a spin on a red brick floor" that is entirely a different matter.
While I am not in the running to lead the posse, I am quite willing to lend any assistance that may be needed.

Nightflyer, thanks for your post. I am a lawyer trying to learn how to fly an airplane. That's like oil and water! But my instructors have said I'm going to have to do both at some time in my life. Sigh. Would you like to instruct me? hee hee.
I'll have to check with Poppa and calcapt and the girls about you joining the posse. There is no such thing as having too much fun! And if you are willing to spin with us and able to pass any oral examination, we want you. We'll need a picture of course. And a sample of your writing. hee hee.

Forgot to comment on one important thing. Any G forces I experience is coming from Poppa and the boys, and not some Cessna.

Oh goody, the fun is only going to increase exponentially with HSLD! You can apply all the G forces you want on me.
