I go out on the road for a few days and come back to find my beloved posse missing! I am here poppa, just a bit lagged and tired, not like ya'all don't understand that feeling! Nothing like having your flights delayed, getting home in the middle of the night and grabbing 3 hours of sleep before you have to get up and drag yourself into the office to catch up on work. Thank goodness for all of the cute pilots out there, is all I have to say! If it weren't for all of those handsome pilots walking past me as I sat for hours in DEN, I would have been one big grump!

So I'm in CVG yesterday and the TSA'ers have this new machine. I start to go through my usual routine, kick the shoes off, shed the jacket, and they stopped me to tell me that I didn't have to take my shoes off anymore. "Just step right into our little booth and put your feet on the footsteps on the floor"
I have no idea what is up and am tired from a little bit too much 4th of July the night before. All of a sudden, "POOF! POOF! POOF!. I felt like Marilyn Monroe must have felt when she stepped on that grate in the sidewalk! I said "WhoooHoooo", what was that? It almost felt slightly kinky. Being of a curious nature, I had to ask them what that was all about and they explained that they had just installed the new explosive detection machine the week before and that CVG was a test market for the machine. I, being of a naughty mind, had something smart to say, but I have to say, I made those TSA'ers laugh, not something that you see too often!

Where is the posse? Mzkat, I thought of you often yesterday as I watched the pilot parade with a big smile on my face....

Stinson dear, Calcapt is fine! He's not ill and didn't lose his medical or job. I think it's probably just that feeling that often hits me. The "I need to get off the tread mill, slow down and reconnect with family" kind of feeling. I know that feeling, and just took time out of my busiest time of year to reconnect with my family in Cincy. My mom will be 80 next year, and sometimes ya just have to slow down and take some time for the important things in life, like family.

I appreciate Calcapt's defense of me and Mzkat when that dude accused us of being gay males. Now there is someone with "personal issues!!!"

By the way Stinson, welcome to the forums! Does your name have anything to do with Stinson Beach? Sorry, I had to ask...

SKY!!! Was wondering where you'd run off to. Couldn't imagine you'd abandoned us for the NASCAR folks (particularly after my award-winning post) Anyway, glad you're back in the cyberhood even if you are a bit tired... though I'm sure we could come up with a way to rouse you.

Why Poppa, I wouldn't think of abandoning the posse for the NASCARites! Your award-winning post was the icing on the cake, and besides that, it's too noisy at NASCAR. I prefer the sound of a jet engine whining over the race cars. I also tend to like my men to be on the bright side, not that NASCAR men aren't bright, but I think a few more neurons fire when a plane gets flown.

Skygirl is exhausted this week, but she's always up for being "roused"... or of course, "aroused"...

Hey SkyGirl - Thanks for the welcome and news regarding CalCapt.

Stinson Jr. refers to an old make and Model of airplane. I will try and find a picture of one to post. There is currently one for sale that I would love to grab and am thinking about - but that would alter my plans and force me to stay in my current deal a little longer.

Not to sound like a moron...but what is Stinson Beach?

Also - to all the girls - it was mentioned that there may be a place in the Posse - now that most (with the exception of MzCat and Falcon) are here...what is the process? Do I need to be voted in? Is there a test? If there is a test...is it an oral? Enquiring minds want to know!

Stinson Beach is a long beautiful beach in Marin County, California where one can often find Skygirl.I was thinking that maybe your parents had conceived you there and named you after the beach. That would be a very California kind of thing to do.... and Stinson, the girls and I have not decided the admission process to the posse, however if you hang around long enough, you will automatically become posse material by default.

Vagabond, we should probably assemble the girls for a summit, so we can lay down some posse bylaws, as well as use it for an excuse to party. Of course all bylaws and laws will be overseen by you. I will take care of the meeting planning. Cass and Falcon can fly us all there, Animals will make sure we all have our shots, and last but not least, the originator of the thread, MzKat, should be in charge of the pilot parade....and the new gal, Wild4theuniform, (welcome by the way) can tell us what her area of expertise lies...
