Default Boxers, MMA's or other fighters?

I used to kick box when I was teenager. About a year ago I started back into it with Krav Maga. The workout is fantastic and I've found that I really like fighting again. At first I was reluctant in the faighting part of the class and found myself cowering from a hit to the face but I am getting used to it again and am starting to look forward to hard contact sparing. In fact I find myself craving a good sparring session whenever possible.

Krav makes sense as self defense because it is simple and it works. If you've been thinking about getting into a "martial art" you should give Krav a try. It is not a martial art it is simply a really effective fighting style.

Once (and if) I ever get my dream job as an airline pilot, I will definitely take up some sort of martial arts... I've always been into boxing an weight lifting and things like that as well...

At which rank do they teach you the "open palm" technique?!!!

Anyway, my dojo is also my sanctuary when my wife is in a bad mood!

It depends on who you're flying with.

LOL. You talking about other pilots or f/a's? (or both) are there many hot female pilots these days?

There are some hot lady pilots for sure. But when you are as old and ugly as me it's kind of mute point.

I did Aikido for a while, I really enjoyed that, and want to get back into it. It's good for the mind. But any work out, where I can focus all of my problems into that, is great.

I've been doing a mix of Karate, Aiki-Jiu Jitsu, TKD and BJJ for several years now. After a long stretch off when I went to college I've been trying to get caught up. It's taken me a year and a half to get back to my purple belt but I finally did it. I just got my Red belt last week. All I have left is brown then black but I'm sure that will be a year and a half from now or so. The muscle acuity is very comforting and I've noticed my confidence is higher. Not to mention my wife is very thankfull for the higher endurance lol. There is something to be said about knowing you can defend what is yours.
