Everyone knows it's Dec. 2012 when the world will end! Chill out, that means we've got almost 4 years of partying left

We should start stocking up on more ammo for the civil war. Those of you living in the Republik of Kalifornia and New York may want to start sewing white flags out of your wife's panties.

Every empire eventually collapses. Just ask the Brits, French, Spanish, Swedes, Romans, Ottomans, Egyptians, etc. To say we will not ever lose our spot as King of the Mountain or our borders will never change is to deny history.

I thought we were a country. Now we are an empire? I'll admit we can and will change with history, but to compare us to empires that were widespread around the world when we are just a country is a little off.

What Swedish empire are you referring to? Meatballs? Blondes?

Late 17th century Sweden was about three times its current size and militarily was Europe's "500 pound gorilla". Nobody could touch it, until Charles chased a fledgling Peter the Great's army doing a tactical retreat into a Russian winter. Peter took what are now the Baltic states, and the collapse started.

Lend me your ears?
Not trying to beat a dead horse here, but...
Found the article interesting, the Professor is a former KGB guy, trained in "information warfare". Seems he's pretty good at it as we're reading his sensational theories here, and debating them with respect to how unlikely they seem to us.
Have to say I was pretty disheartened when I went on the english version of Pravda. I thought Pravda was the main source of news for the former USSR, and now Russia? Maybe the english version is different that what is put out in Russian online, but the online english version reads like a strange mix of the rags in our supermarkets and Orwell's 1984. The english Pravda forums were pretty awful too.
Have to really wonder what people in many places get for news on the U.S., even in this day of the world wide web. I guess I'm pretty naive, don't know.
Glad to be where I'm at, that's for sure.
